Recently, the construction of Phase II Automated Container Yard Project at the Port of Rizhao undertaken by HHMC was successfully commenced, marking another cooperation between HHMC and Port of Rizhao in the automated container yard project following the Phase I Project, which was also undertaken by HHMC, being put into operation in May of this year. The successful commencement of this project not only promotes high-quality development of building an intelligent Port of Rizhao, but also represents its high appraise to HHMC’s products and services.
The project comprises 6 sets of automatic rail-mounted cranes with the designing inheriting the principle in Phase I that “to build an automated yard with double-cantilever cranes arranged paralleled to the coastline”. HHMC will provide Rizhao Port with the optimal solution for an automatic yard system by means of the design based on systematic planning and simulation as well as the development of modular and integrated systems. Besides, HHMC will realize a seamless connection between Phase I and Phase II automated container yards at the waterside and add the function for interfacing among unmanned container trucks, so as to achieve completely unmanned operation throughout the whole yard and to further consolidate the foundation for building an intelligent Port of Rizhao.
