Recently, HHMC successfully delivered one 65T-65M Super Post Panamax Ship to Shore Crane and two 41T Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes for Port Louis, Mauritius. This is the second batch of equipment that HHMC has built for Port Louis, Mauritius after the delivery of 2 sets of 65T-65M Super Post Panamax STS and 6 sets of 41T RTG Cranes in 2017. The height of STS is more than 80 meters and its hoisting weight is 65T and its out-reach is 65M, which is the largest STS in Port Louis.
After the arrival of the batch of equipment, HHMC’s project team acted quickly, planned meticulously, overcame obstacles boldly and pushed the project forward efficiently, completed the unloading and power-up smoothly. With hard over-time working, they rerouted the cables, finished the wiring test after turned the crane’s direction and, as scheduled, invited European certification Agency (Shanghai) TUV to conduct on-site commissioning. Commented by Huang Jianwei, TUV's on-site inspection engineer, that “HHMC’s products have completely overturned my original sensory perception of large-scale portal cranes that normally should be rough and shoddy in workmanship, however, the details of the cranes are so demanding to such an extent that you can certainly say that HHMC is an outstanding performer in this industry and the performance of the cranes are impeccable as well”.
Facts speak for the capability. Two 8-hour endurance tests of 2 RTG cranes were completed twice within two days. Later, after finishing the first 8-hour endurance test of STS without any failure, owner directly sent 3 cranes to the “battlefront” for the practical loading and unloading tasks. Under the joint witness of the owner and the supervisor of the German consultant on site, the three cranes completed the continuous 16 hours of durable test-run with no failure, which was an unspoken evidence of HHMC’s capability.
Located in east of Africa, southwest of the Indian Ocean, more importantly, lying in the major maritime traffic position between the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is well-known as “a key to the gateway of the Indian ocean”. Port Louis, as an important gateway for import and export work in Mauritius, is not only one of the large modern ports in the world but also a significant node of the "Belt and Road". Eleven sets of cranes manufactured by HHMC are put into operation in Port Louis, with high standard, high quality, high performance and high service providing all-weather and full-time production guarantee services, which would significantly enhance its operating capacity and competitiveness, and contribute China's assistance to the regional construction and economic development of Mauritius.
