On January 20, three large Ship-To-Shore container cranes(STS), manufactured by Qingdao Hisea Heavy-duty Machinery Co.,Ltd. for the Antioquia Port in Colombia, were successfully dispatched.
These cranes have a rated lifting capacity of 65 tons under the spreader, a forward outreach of 60 meters, and a lifting height of 54 meters above the rail. They are equipped with advanced systems such as crane vibration monitoring, weighing systems, automatic fire-extinguishing systems, and ship profiling, which ensure safety, efficiency, and convenience. These features enable the cranes to meet the loading and unloading requirements of the world's largest post-Panamax container vessels. Additionally, the cranes feature a hatch cover platform on the landward side, which effectively addresses the issue of limited dock space and optimizes the use of space, thereby enhancing the port's loading and unloading capacity and service level.
South America is considered the "natural extension" of the Belt and Road Initiative. This project will contribute to the economic and social development of the region in Colombia and achieve mutual benefits.
