On 2th,July, 2014, the contract signing ceremony of 10 units jack-up offshore platforms between Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant Co., ltd (WMMP is the mother company of HHMC) and Orient Brilliance Group(OBG) was held in HHMC. Mr. He Jiwu the chairman of WMMP, and Mr. Chen Lixin, the chairman of OBG attended the signing ceremony.
OBG is a well known shipping company, and has a very strong strength and shipping capacity. It owns four main businesses, shipbuilding/ship repairing, undertaking offshore projects, international/domestic dry bulk sea transportation, and international ship management.
These bulk jack-up offshore platforms are a joint cooperation project between OBG and WMMP/HHMC and OBG, adopts 3+3+4 mode, and is divided into 3 batches to design and manufacture. The first started 3 platforms have entered into the detailed design stage now and are expected to start in this year, the delivery time is 18 months, and each 3 months should deliver the next platform after the first one delivered. The max operating water depth of these bulk platforms is 60m, the total body length is 78.8m, and molded length is 63.6m, molded breadth is 40m, load draught is 3m. This type of jack-up offshore platform is mainly used for drilling platform to drill, oilfield production services, offshore oilfield construction, oilfield increasing production, repairing operation, life support, wind power installation, and the current market outlook is very good.
The signing of this platform project is the important achievement of HHMC in enhancing the development of marine market in recently years, also is another batch offshore platform order after the company signed 36m, 90m offshore platform. It not only further lays the status of HHMC in marine market, but also lays a solid foundation of exploring the international market. Meanwhile, the implementation of this project will lay a solid foundation for HHMC to deepen cooperation with large international companies, accumulate rich experience by actively participating in international competition, and fully access to the international market next step.
